We are a place where they can feel the warm embrace of God's unconditional love and grace. We work together to create an atmosphere where learning, spiritual growth and the love of God may be experienced by every child. Click here for the latest Children's News. Sunday School An exciting and fun environment opens the door for children to learn the stories of the Bible and grow in faith. Classes are available for children three years of age (by September 1) through 6th grade. Classes meet from 9:30-10:45am. Preschool aged children (3 & 4 year olds) meet in the Nursery - Room 111, but they will be involved in their own course of study designed especially for them. Nursery Care Professional child care is available for infants through children two years of age in Room 111 on Sundays from 8:15 am until 12:00 noon. Confirmation As our 6th graders move to full membership with our church, they participate in a power-filled, faith-forming experience during the Sunday School hour. The program encourages explorations in faith, worship, service projects, and engages students in field trips and retreats.
Camps In the summer, the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church offers a week of crafts, recreation, faith experiences, and small group fun for older elementary children, grades 3 - 6. The Camp is held at Bridgeport Conference Center, 90 miles northwest of Dallas. Registration is in March. Every fall, 3rd - 5th grade children are invited to bring their Bibles to the Bridgeport Conference Center for a fun-filled weekend of fellowship, crafts, sports, and Bible exploration. Children's Choir Children's Choir is offered for 2nd through 5th grade children. The choir provides music leadership in worship service several times during the year. Check the music schedule for rehearsal times.
Kids in Mission Throughout the year, children participate in hands-on mission projects. They are learning to be compassionate, caring children as they share of themselves in tangible ways. Mission opportunities may include writing notes to those who are ill, collecting and sorting food items at North Dallas Shared Ministries, or making Christmas decorations for needy families.
